Only 10% of self-employed people know about this federal program. That's why you should apply right away. When everybody else learns about it, they'll get in line in front of you.

The program doesn't last forever but you're one of the lucky ones to hear about it first!

People ask me if they can file by themselves or if they should use an accounting firm. Yes, you can file this on your own. It's called Form 7202. You can find it on the IRS website. But is that really a good idea for YOU?

Most people are deciding it's smart to let a professional do it for them. That way, they're guaranteed to get every penny they deserve, they won't stress about doing it the right way, and they'll have a CPAs signature on the return, which tells the IRS that it was done according to the law.

Sound too good to be true? That's how I felt, too. But I did a lot of research on the IRS website and they confirmed that it's 100% true. You can read about it here, here, here and here.

The IRS never makes things easy. US Tax Statutes are over four million words long. (The King James Bible is only 788,280 words long!) It's no wonder most CPAs don't know about this tax credit. It's impossible to keep up.

That's why I think it's a good idea to have a tax credit specialist do your return for you. Someone who knows this stuff inside and out. And someone who puts their reputation and license on the line when they sign a return.

What's best for you? I really don't know. You can try to figure it out on your own and keep your fingers crossed, or you can pay an expert to make sure you get every penny you deserve. The choice is yours.
